Job Title Short order, or line, or general cook.
Terms of Employment Must be flexible; restaurant hours 06:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Position(s) for Permanent: full-time, part-time, casual, on-call; must be willing to work weekends, statutory holidays; three shifts on schedule.
Wage Industry norm; wage review after 90 days without tardiness or absence; wage review after 180 days thereafter with no tardiness or absence.
Start Date Within one week or less of successful interview
Location Highway 400 at Exit 149, Waubaushene.
Education High school graduate preferred but will consider past experience.
Credentials None required but will be required to adhere to WHMIS and safe food handling criteria. Training provided by employer.
Experience Minimum of one year as a short order or line or general cook in a restaurant setting.
Languages Must be fluent in English: speak, read, write.
Work Setting Fast-paced truck stop restaurant with take-out option.
Food Preparation Skills Must be able to bake, cook daily specials, and produce soups and selected sauces.
Specific Skills Will assist in ensuring quality/quantity of food; responsible for maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and all food preparation areas.
Essential Skills Must be able to work with minimal supervision; must be a team player; must be willing to assist with other duties in the kitchen area.
Mandatory Must have reliable transportation; must be flexible with work schedule.
Security & Safety Must adhere to all safety standards; must wear closed shoes while on premises; must wear clean company uniform provided by employer.

Specific Skills Must be able to work under pressure.
